Guest Appearances and Teaching

Christine has given readings and lectures at many venues including Barnes and Noble, New York; The Australian Consulate in Washington DC; the Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne Writers’ Festivals; Readings Bookstore Melbourne;  Port Fairy Literary Weekend; The University of Melbourne and Deakin University. Manuscript Assessment and Mentoring

Christine has helped several writers in the early stages of their careers. A number of her past students have published novels or narrative non-fiction. Mentoring involves support with both writing craft and publishing strategy. This is charged at an hourly rate. 

Christine completed her PhD in Creative Arts at Melbourne University in 2005. For more than 20 years, she has taught creative writing and literature at university level. She has skills in editing both academic work and fiction.  Christine is also a trained editor and copywriter.
